Mrs. Lewis'  Bits and Bytes
  August 2005 Newsletter

Welcome to the
2005-2006 School Year!

Just where did the summer go?  Did your summer fly as fast as mine did?  I hope you had a wonderful, and revitalizing, summer.  I am looking forward to working with you this year!

This is the first newsletter of the 2005-2006 school year.  Generally, I will try to  send the newsletter out by the last week of the month. This newsletter is sent to the schools I serve and a growing list of teachers, technology professionals, and administrators.

How May I Help You?

Are you looking for some great ideas to start off the school year right?  I would be glad to help you implement lesson plans, activities, and projects found in my Back to School links.  For those teachers who have traditional beginning of the year activities, I would be glad to help in any way!  Just send me an email (mlewis@amherst.k12.va.us) or call me at Central Elementary during my office hours and we can set up a time to get together.

Digital Pictures

Are you looking for some great instructional activities to build community in your classroom?  Beginning of the year digital pictures offer tremendous opportunities for all kinds of lessons and projects.  If you do not have access to a digital camera, I do!  Just send me an email or call me at Central and we can make arrangements!

Grade Level and Special Area Meetings

For the few weeks, I'd like to meet BRIEFLY with each grade level or special area teachers. I'd like to find out how I can best serve you and set some goals together for ways to integrate Best Practice Technology strategies. I'd be happy to meet with during your planning time, or before or after school. Please e-mail me to set up a time or see me when I am at your school.
