Example #1:

Nancy,

I have you on my schedule.  Do you have a time frame?  Will this be every Thursday?  All I need is a week’s notice of what you want covered if you have a specific skill in mind.  I will send you a form via email that you can fill out and return via email.   This will be great!  Thank you for  letting me help you.

Hi Melanie!

I tried to telephone you a couple of times, but got no answer, and I guess you don't have an answering machine?  I can't remember when you told me you'd be out of town.

I'd like more info on the digital voice recorder.  Most store clerks are unaware of the capabilities and are unsure of the transcribe feature.  They were wondering if you needed an additional program (like dragon
something-or-other) ...

I think I have it narrowed down to an Olympis ... it has it's own USB plug built right in ...  just wondering if you could give me any more insight on it.

Thanks,
Angie

Example #4 (This is from an ITRT in Rockingham, VA)

Hi Obe,

I have moved my site from Quia.  My new home page is below my signature.  You will find some resources there.  Also my colleague and I are putting links on our Portaportal page:  http://guest.portaportal.com/amherst_county_sol_links

On the portal page are links to powerpoints and Preschool and Kindergarten links.

Here is a page where I have housed several lessons:  http://home.att.net/%7Em-mlewis/lessons.html

And I have put together lots of Inspiration templates too:  http://home.att.net/%7Em-mlewis/inspiration_templates.html

If you are looking for something specific, please let me know.  I may have it on my laptop or a colleague's computer and I can get it for you.

I was looking for Kindergarten SOL Resources for Social Studies and Science.  I came across your Quia webpage at http://www.quia.com/pages/socialstudieskinder.html

I was wondering if you could send me the links, powerpoints, website or resources you have on Kindergarten.

Thanks,

Everything you did in the computer lab this year was a support to the kindergarten SOL program.  You even supported the special swamp unit I did near the end of the year.   It's really hard to speak to just one particular thing.  SOLs were supported in English, science, math and social studies.  The things that spring to mind that would speak to your overall creativity would be the inspiration lessons on beginning sounds & rhyming, the presidential one for social studies, the teddy bear counting lesson & the swamp support lesson as well as the informative lessons on recycling and seasonal topics.<>  I know that every time I came to the lab with the children they worked on SOL relevant and time appropriate material.  It was time well planned and well spent.  Lessons were never repeat or busy work lessons.  Thank you! Have a great  summer!!!  Jill

The documents I attached are the updated ones…did they not come through?  I just need these new ones put on the web-site in place of the ones currently on there.

I don’t have any documents, I am sorry.  I can meet with you after summer school any day.  Are the documents you sent to me ready to be updated?

Thanks.  Do you have anything you can email?  If not, maybe we can touch base one afternoon after you are finished for the day with summer school.

Most pressing is to update the following:

--Faculty listing (web employee.doc)
--Master schedule
--Supply list

Good Morning Dr. A,

Yes, I can help with the directions.  Do you want hands on or telephone directions?  I can call later today and check on what you need.

Also, while I am thinking about it, I wanted to let you know that we met as an ITRT group last week and discussed our schedules but Mrs. Preston wants to run things by the Admin before we commit to any changes.  It does look like AES will get one day a week either Wednesday or Thursday.  They will most likely move my planning day to Friday.

Melanie:

Now that I have some time, I would like to play around with our website.  I looked through my file “website” but cannot find directions for entering and working on the site.  Can you provide me with that information?

THANKS!
Mark
